OUR LOCATION
Perched just 10 minutes from the vibrant centre of Arusha, Karama Lodge and Spa offers breathtaking views of Mount Kilimanjaro, Mount Meru, and the expansive Maasai steppes. Our location on Suye Hill provides a tranquil escape surrounded by indigenous trees, tropical birds, and diverse wildlife, making it an ideal base for Tanzania safaris or a restful stop before climbing Mount Kilimanjaro. The lodge’s proximity to Arusha Airport (12 km) and key attractions like the Old German Boma (5.3 km) and Njiro Complex (5.5 km) ensures convenience without sacrificing serenity.
OUR ACCOMMODATION
With 27 stilted log cabins, each crafted from local materials to blend seamlessly with the surrounding forest. These cabins offer en-suite facilities, private wooden balconies with comfortable seating, and stunning views of the landscape. Designed for privacy and comfort, our accommodations cater to solo travellers, couples, families, and honeymooners, with special suites available for romantic getaways. Each cabin reflects a natural aesthetic, combining unique style with modern amenities like WiFi, hot water, and eco-friendly solar power.
COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT
We are deeply connected in the Arusha community. We support the Arusha Children’s Trust, a charitable organization started in 1999 that aids underprivileged children and young adults in the Arusha and Rift regions. By staying with us, guests contribute to these efforts, helping to improve education and opportunities for local youth. We also employ local staff, providing training and fair wages to empower our community.
